If you would like the National Disabled Students’ Association’s help for advocacy, please contact us using this form. Our main goal is to empower disabled students across the motu to have the tools they need in order to advocate for themselves. We are happy to help guide and support you in communicating with your institute (where you study) with certain issues. These may include (but aren’t limited to!) difficulties obtaining reasonable accommodations for tests and exams, accessing your classes, accessing placements, and disputes related to disability and accessibility. We strongly recommend first contacting your local advocacy services, and you may also contact your local disabled students’ association or disabled representative, if they provide advocacy services.
Please note that if you would like us to communicate on your behalf, we will likely require you to confirm this to your institution. This is often as simple as an email with us included to your lecturer or whoever you are working with, confirming that we can access relevant details and communicate on your behalf.
